After thirty years, the Miami Dolphins have taken a QB in the first round, Ryan Tannehill of Texas A&M. Ryan played his first 30 games in college at WR, then switched to QB and made 19 starts there.
Offensive Coordinator Mike Sherman was the head coach at Texas A&M and knows full well what Tannehill can do. The laundry list of quarterbacks after Dan Marino hopefully will come to an end for a while with Tannehill. However, choosing in the top 10, a QB with 19 starts is a big of a risk. Dolphin fans will now hope that he can develop further under Sherman as well as head coach Joe Philbin.
We will update each pick as the Draft continues, expect to see the Dolphins now build around Tannehill on the line as well as Wide Receiver.
