
With two games today to kick off the bowl season, the Dolphins shouldn’t waste time evaluating a handful of mid round talents in the New Mexico Bowl (Arizona vs. Nevada at 1pm EST) and Famous Idaho Potato Bowl (Utah State vs. Toledo, 4pm EST). Marcus Lattimore Declares for the 2013 NFL Draft, Has Injuries to Overcome

Joe Schad of ESPN is reporting that now-former South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore will declare for the 2013 NFL Draft. The former Freshman All-American leaves school early despite back to back seasons with devastating knee injuries to both knees.
Still, Lattimore possesses the elite upside, development, polish, and natural athletic ability to still make a strong impact in the NFL in the future. It all depends on his rehab, and if/which NFL team gives him a true shot. (more…)
2013 NFL Draft: As Juniors Declare, Don’t Forget About These Redshirt Sophomores

As the junior declaration process continues, many fans of the NFL Draft focus their time on the “known” juniors. But keep in mind that the rule is “three years out of high school”, so fans should also keep in mind for redshirt sophomores, sometimes not as easy to track and find.

2013 NFL Draft Game Notes: Rutgers vs. Louisville

In what became a de facto Big East championship match-up, the senior/junior laden Rutgers team took on a very young (and eventually winning) Louisville team at Rutgers home stadium.
It wasn’t the best day for the Rutgers stars except for their senior DT, and the Louisville cornerback Adrian Bushell looked the part of an NFL playmaker one day. (more…)
2013 Dolphins Draft Board: Top 10 Players Who Should Be Considered at Pick 14

In what is a (very) pleasant surprise, the Dolphins aren’t in “look to the future” mode and are just one game out of the 6th seed in the AFC. While it’ll take at least one win over the Patriots and likely winning out the rest of their games besides New England, there’s still a shot these counted-out and young Dolphins fight to the final game to make the post-season.
However, being in the middle of the first round, the Dolphins will have lots of options to build on their already competitive team. Receiver and defensive back are the main needs, but getting value if possible as well as adding more to the offensive and defensive line are all options for the Dolphins. (more…)
