Free Agent Frenzy Begins

The NFL’s new year is upon us and in yearly fashion, that means free agent splashes begin at 4:01 EST and in similar fashion to last season, the Dolphins get off to an early start by signing 29 year old offensive tackle Branden Albert to a 5 year, 46 million dollar deal with 25 million in guaranteed money.  Albert has long been rumored to Miami since this time last year when Miami and Kansas City flirted with the idea of a trade but Miami felt the price tag too steep and waited the extra year for Albert to become an unrestricted free agent.    Read the rest of this entry »


Dolphins Roster Moves Before Free Agency Begins

With the start of Free Agency less than 24 hours away, the Dolphins got off to an early start by signing veteran free agent, Louis Delmas who was cut by the Detroit Lions last month.  The Dolphins also cut CB Dmitri Patterson who was oft injured during his tenure in Miami.  The moves saves Miami around five million dollars, which helped them with Delmas, who they’ve signed to a one year, 3.5 million dollar deal.    Read the rest of this entry »

There’s no shortage of draft “information” available during this time period. The combine and pro days give us numbers while random reports give us smokescreens and all kinds of irrelevant stuff that mean nothing when it comes to draft day.

Bradley Roby Scouting Report

Dolphins re-sign Brent Grimes

Monday the Dolphins announced an extension with Cornerback Brent Grimes on a four year, 32 million dollar deal with 16 million guaranteed that should keep him in Miami for the remainder of his career.  Miami had until 4:00 PM EST today to designate him with a one year franchise tag and try to extend him longer afterwards, but was able to get a deal done with plenty of time to spare.    Read the rest of this entry »
