Pre Free Agency-Post Combine First Round Mock Draft

2013 NFL Mock Draft: Eric’s February 5th Update

The Senior Bowl has come and gone along with all the juniors firmly announced for the 2013 NFL Draft, and the Combine is quickly approaching. Therefore, it’s time to take another look at the 2013 NFL Draft, especially who the Dolphins may take.

While a lot can (and will) change thanks to the NFL Combine and Free Agency, in this mock, we’ll see three top 10 quarterbacks, six Top 20 offensive linemen, two tight ends, and three non-BCS prospects in the first round of this mock draft. (more…)

I had an idea that I wanted to launch a live seven round mock draft so I could get a grasp on how the draft could pan out so I got on Twitter and reached out to thirty-two guys who know football and know the NFL draft.

I figured this would be a good representation of how the draft board should shape and while it’s not a perfect science it will allow us to see some trends heading into April. The results of the seven round #ExpertsMock (Twitter Hashtag) can be found at the NFL Draft Wizard.

Yesterday, we introduced our own draft plan for the Dolphins to follow each year. Today we will look at some potential players that the Dolphins could choose in April that would follow such a plan.

We will have two separate mocks, one in which the team could focus primarily on the offensive side of the ball while also filling a hole or two on defense, and one that will focus primarily on defense, while still plugging some holes on offense.
